Description

Ye Olden Days Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Animation Drawings Sequence of 4 (Walt Disney, 1933). "Oho! Guards! Guards!" When Mickey tries to help Princess Minnie escape, the King of Kalapazoo sees them climbing down a makeshift rope and orders his guards to catch them, in this sequence of four original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings. This fan-favorite cartoon was directed by Burt Gillett, and released on 4/8/1933. The first drawing is of Minnie and Mickey, who realize they've been spotted by the King; see it in the film at the 5:20 mark in online viewings. In the next three drawings, the pair try to hide in a pair of long underwear used in the "rope," only to be pulled in by the King's guards. The art is in graphite; pages are numbered in the lower right corner as 9 (approximate image size 3.5" x 8.5"), 96 (image 2.75" x 8.25"), 107 (image 3.5" x 8.5"), and 146 (image 7.5" x 7.5", with added red and green pencil highlights to the guards). Condition is Very Good with minor handling and edge wear, and mild age-related paper toning along the edges.
