    Description

Ye Olden Days Mickey and Minnie Mouse Layout and Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1933). This is a pair of original renderings from the Burt Gillett-directed short Ye Olden Days. Both are presented in a common frame, one above the other. The top image is a layout drawing in graphite and red pencil of Mickey and Minnie at the 5:38 mark after they have been captured trying to elope and are presented to the King for punishment. It's an amazing image and includes notes for both background artists and animators. The second rendering is a beautifully detailed animation drawing in graphite and colored pencil from the end of the short around the 8:00 mark where Mickey and his donkey are carried off by the townsfolk in celebration of his winning Minnie's hand in a joust with Dippy Dog. Both drawings are on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper. They are framed under glass with mat openings of 9" x 12" in a 26" x 17" frame. The layout drawing exhibits some toning and both show very light a handling. Condition is Fine. Frame is sold as-is.
