Wreck-It Ralph Concept Sketch by Michael Hobson (Walt Disney, 2012). Sweet, expressive sketched portrait of Wreck-it Ralph giving a big bear hug to fellow video game characters King Candy, Fix-it Felix Jr, Vanellope von Schweetz, and Sergeant Calhoun. The Rob Moore-directed film was released to theaters on 10/29/2012 as Disney's 52nd animated feature presentation; it was a box-office smash hit, garnering the Annie Award for Best Animated Feature along with Golden Globe and Oscar nominations. This wonderful charmer of a sketch is the handiwork of freelancer Michael Hobson, a California-based artist responsible for many such illustrations done for Disney and other studios during his 30+ year career in the motion picture industry. The art is in graphite on a sheet of onionskin paper measuring 8.5" x 11", with an image area of approximately 7.25" x 7.5". The art is numbered as 6 in the upper left corner, and the onionskin sheet is affixed to a white paper backer with white artist tape. Condition of this fun illustration is Very Good, with minor handling wear.
