Wonderful World of Disney Magazine Illustration (Walt Disney, c. 1970s). In the days of cheap gas when families regularly traveled by car across the country, bored kids in the back seat needed something to do as the miles rolled by. Disney Studios hit upon the happy idea of offering a twenty-five cent monthly magazine filled with stories, games, and songs, available only at Gulf service stations. This vintage painted illustration of a medieval king bestowing what appears to be a bag of gold to one of his subjects, is from an issue of the magazine. It's painted in watercolor/gouache on illustration board, with an approximate image size of 14" x 14", and is in Good condition with handling wear and stains outside the image.
