DescriptionWinnie the Pooh Concept Sketches by Peter Ellenshaw Group of 3 (Walt Disney, c. 1990s). Presented are three RARE concept sketches by Disney Legend Inductee, Peter Ellenshaw (1913 – 2007). These fantastic pieces show the artist going through the concept stage of the creative process for a new Winnie the Pooh painting. Concept art grows out of a design process and is simply the visual evolution from an idea to the final product. So, it's crucial that the structural makeup of the artwork in development occur in this order: concept, design, technique. These three pieces were rendered in gouache on 22" x 14.5" and 24" x 15" heavy illustration paper. The artwork was not created as Fine Art and thus is not signed and shows edge wear with several tears and holes. These are extremely RARE pieces as we have never seen any Peter Ellenshaw concepts for a Fine Art painting. Overall condition is Fair to Good.
