Winnie the Pooh Book Illustrations Group of 5 (Walt Disney, c. 1970s-80s). Do you do Pooh? If you do, this lot is for you! Included are three large inked drawings (one with a Christmas theme) and two preliminary pieces. Among the preliminaries is an amazing, highly-detailed blue pencil on onionskin paper montage drawing, with six separate vignettes featuring Gopher, Tigger, Roo and Piglet, Owl, Rabbit, and Christopher Robin. It has an approximate image size of 14.5" x 16"; condition is Fair with edge wear, fold creases, and stains. The second preliminary is a large drawing of Pooh's tree house, with the "Mr. Sanders" name still above the door; it's in graphite and blue pencil on two conjoined sheets of thin white paper, with an image area of 20.5" x 27.75". Condition is Good, with fold creases and wear. The inked illustrations include a large 2-page book spread featuring a tea party attended by Christopher Robin, Pooh, Gopher, Roo, Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger and Rabbit. Ink on white paper, image size 22" x 14". The drawing of Eeyore has been copied and pasted over the original art, to move the image to the right; this photocopy has tanned, with minor rubber cement stains; overall condition is Good. The second inked piece is a delightful image of Eeyore helping Pooh go for a beehive full of "hunny;" it's on white paper, with an image size of 16" x 12". The image of Pooh is a pasted-on photostat. Very Good condition. Finally, we have a lovely Christmas illustration of Pooh in his Santa suit, with Owl, Christopher Robin, and Piglet looking over the holiday gifts; it's in ink and whiteout on white paper, with an image size of 10.5" x 9.5". The word "Hunny" is pasted on. Very Good condition. That's five pieces of large original artwork in this lot!
