    Description

Wile E. Coyote Studio Publicity Cel/ Color Model (Warner Bros. c. 1980-90s). The "Canyon Fall Gag" is a recurring gag that happens to Wile E. Coyote in the classic Chuck Jones shorts. The gag is another one of Wile E. Coyote's many mishaps in capturing Road Runner when a failed scheme, a Road Runner scare, a feeble ledge, or a chase mishap causes Wile E. to be flung off the edge of a cliff, and he plummets down into a canyon, where he crashes to the ground in a cloud of dust. Here is a great image of the Coyote just before he descends to the bottom of another canyon. This is a publicity/ color model cel. The piece was most likely used for publicity purposes like consumer products and advertising. The image measures a whopping 8" tall. Hand-inked and hand-painted on 12 field acetate and placed over a background copy/print. The cel is framed to 18" x 18.5" under Plexiglas with a matboard aperture of 9.5" x 9.75". Frame sold as-is. Cel condition is Fine.
