    Description

    Wild Over You Preliminary Background Color Key Painting by Maurice Noble (Warner Brothers, 1953). This Chuck Jones-directed short takes place during the 1900 Paris Exposition and includes stops at the Zoo, the Wax Museum, the Hall of Armor, and other places for Penelope Pussycat to hide from Pepé Le Pew. This short was written by Mike Maltese and was released on 7/11/53. This was the first Pepé cartoon that gave Maurice Noble screen credit for his magnificent layouts This a great preliminary background Color Key concept painting by Maurice Noble, for a proposed "Maze Mystique," one of the possible hiding places for Penelope within the Exposition. You can see these tree designs all throughout the cartoon. Colors are pure NOBLE. Artwork measures 6" x 4" and is hand-signed by Maurice Noble (1911- 2001). Framed with Plexiglas for a size of 18" x 16" with a mat opening of 11" x 9.5". Frame is sold as-is. Artwork condition is Very Good.
