    Why Calibrate Navy Training Film Production Cels and Notes Group (Graphic Films, c. 1950s/60s). In 1941, when Lester Novros left Disney to start Graphic Films, he also joined the faculty of the Cinema Department of USC. Thousands of students took his landmark course "Filmic Expression." Here is a pair of very rare 12 field production cels from the Graphic Films Navy Training Film called Why Calibrate. It is an excellent example of the term "Cartoon Modern" animation. These two lots come with four pages of Lester Novros' handwritten notes on his views of basic animation. Minor handling and edge wear. The overall condition is Good.
