Who's Kitten Who?/Tweety and the Beanstalk Sylvester Production Cel with Production Background (Warner Brothers, 1952/57). "The first thing a cat's got to know is how to catch a mouse!" explains Sylvester to his son Junior, in this classic short directed by Robert McKimson (1910 - 1977). Looney Tunes fans will recognize it as one of the shorts where Sylvester mistakes the baby kangaroo (Hippety Hopper) for a mouse. This is an original production background painted by Richard Thomas and can be seen around the 4:05 mark when Hippety is about to kick Sylvester across the kitchen. The hand-painted background measures 10" x 16". Over it is an original hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Sylvester the Cat from the 1957 theatrical short Tweety and the Beanstalk. The remarkable full-figure image measures 5" tall on a 12 field cel. Cel and background work flawlessly together. The background shows minor handling with pinholes in corners. Overall condition on both cel and background is Very Good.
