Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Roger and Jessica Rabbit Production Cel Setup (Walt Disney/Amblin, 1988). Roger and Jessica look through the hole made by the runaway Dipmobile as a couple of toons pass by on a handcart. This is an incredible hand-painted production 3-cel setup of Roger Rabbit and Jessica from the film's exciting finale. Roger and Jessica are on one cel, the open wall is a photographic overlay cel and the toons on the cart a third. All three are over a print of the original background. This setup was originally sold at the "Art of Who Framed Roger Rabbit" auction in New York June 28, 1989 and is in the original mat with embossed sticker from this sale. The cel has a Disney seal on it and is on a black and white photo background for presentation purposes. The Disney Letter of Authenticity is included with the cel. Matted under Plexiglas with an opening of 9" x 13", and framed with glass for an overall size of 16" x 20". Minor handling wear. Fine condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
