Who Framed Roger Rabbit Production Cel Progression of 2 (Walt Disney/Touchstone, 1988). "No thanks Eddie, I'm trying to cut down!" says Roger Rabbit to Eddie Valiant, after Eddie offers a drink. This is from the bar scene where the drink creates a Roger "explosion" and enables Eddie and Roger to escape from Doctor Doom and the Weasels. The Art of Who Framed Roger Rabbit Auction was held in New York City on June 28, 1989. This auction really helped put animation art on the map. This is lot #194 from that sale. It is a two-cel progression of Roger being saved by Eddie after he flies through the air from taking that shot of whiskey. Eddie catches him, just short of falling into the barrel of deadly "Dip." Cels are trimmed to image and mounted to color background. Disney placed cels on color photo backgrounds only for this sale. Setup is in the original auction mat with embossed Auction Seal in the bottom right. This is a fun progression with images of Roger of 3" and 5". Matted with mat openings of 13" x 9". Cels from this historic auction rarely come up these days. Fine condition.
