    Description

Walt Disney Studios -- "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" Original Hand Painted Production Cel and Print Background. (1937). Dopey and Bashful follow one of the dwarfs in the terrifying pursuit of the Wicked Witch. She's just poisoned Snow White with the dreaded apple and has climbed the cliff to escape the enraged dwarfs. Our heroes chase the hag and almost reach her when a bolt of lightning sends her to her doom. This cel shows the splattering rain on the dwarfs and their determined expressions. A very rare scene to survive from the film, since most collectors of the 1930s were interested in the sweet scenes. Presented on a print background of the pencil layout of the cliff. Dopey is 2.75" x 2.25" and Bashful is 3.25" x 2.25" and the background area measures 9.0" x 7.5."
