Walt Disney Studios -- "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" Hand Painted Limited Edition Cel Set. (1974). "The Snow White Portfolio." Disney artists made this magnificent set of four cels in 1974 when they began to recreate animation cels as fine art for collectors. Since the studio no longer had original cels from Snow White to sell, they went into their archives. Using the original animation drawings, they recreated these classic scenes in cel form exactly as they were made in 1937. The rich hand inking and painting were traced from the original drawings and numbered in only 275 sets. These come in the original red velvet covered box. Each cel measures 15.5" x 12.5." 1) Snow White and the Witch appear together from the scene with the poison apple. 2) Dopey stands on Bashful and dances with Snow White in the "Silly Song" sequence. 3) Snow White sings to the little lost blue bird. 4) Snow White kisses Grumpy on the head as he heads off to work.
