Walt Disney's Disneyland Donald Duck's Nephews Production Cel (Walt Disney, c. 1954-58). The Disneyland TV show went through many iterations and titles since its introduction in 1954 until becoming The Wonderful World of Disney in 1991. It was Disney's first foray into the weekly television show format, and it called great attention to the Disneyland theme park opening the following year. Walt Disney himself hosted the program in this first incarnation, and the show featured cartoons and material from the Disney library, including Disney movies edited down to one hour or broken into two one-hour episodes. Featured here is a fantastic hand-inked and hand-painted original production cel from Walt Disney's Disneyland depicting two of the three nephews of Donald Duck. Gorgeously rendered and delightfully expressive, this piece was sold at the Disneyland Art Corner store as indicated by the official golden sticker on the back of the piece. Displayed over a printed background for presentation purposes, the piece is matted with a window size of 9" x 6.5" and an overall mat size of 12.75" x 11". The cel shows light handling wear, and the condition overall is Very Good. The mat is sold as is.
