    Virgil Ross - Tweety "Model Sheet" Drawing Original Art (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). Beautifully rendered images of Tweety Pie, the cute little yellow bird who appeared in 47 cartoons beginning with the debut appearance in the 1942 short A Tail of Two Kitties. Often pursued by Sylvester the Cat,Tweety coined the phrase "I tawt i taw a putty tat." The art is by renowned WB animator Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996), known for his action and dance sequences, as well as his funny facial expressions. He worked on more than 230 cartoons with the Friz Freleng unit. Several of the cartoons he worked on were nominated for Academy Awards, and Mr. Ross himself was given the prestigious Winsor McCay Award in 1988. This piece is on 16 field 5-peghole animation paper, and the eight images of Tweety range from 2.5" to 6.5". It is signed in the right lower aspect. Fine condition
