Virgil Ross - Road Runner "Model Sheet" Drawing Original Art (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s).
He's fast and too clever for Wile E. Coyote to catch him, even with the help of a wide array of Acme products -- he's Beep-Beep the Road Runner, one of the most popular cartoon characters of the 1950s-60s. This is an original model sheet-style drawing of Beep-Beep, with six different poses. Artist Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996) was a long-time animator for Warner Brothers, Hanna-Barbera, Filmation, and a few other studios, with an award-winning career that stretched back to the 1930s. He worked on everything from Oswald the Rabbit to Scooby-Doo, as well as fan-favorites like Star Trek: The Animated Series and The New Adventures of Batman. Mr. Ross drew these six images on 16 field animation paper, with sizes ranging from 3" to 6" tall. Drawing is signed, and in Fine condition.
