    Virgil Ross - Bugs Bunny Illustration (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). Bugs sports a tux with tails, in this remarkable sketch signed by legendary animator Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996). Mr. Ross is considered one of the creators of Bugs and he worked on the 1940's short A Wild Hare, considered the first appearance of the Bugs. He was the recipient of the Motion Picture Screen Cartoonists Golden Award in 1984, and the Winsor McCay Award in 1988. This drawing measures 9.5" on a sheet of 12 field 3-peghole animation paper and is signed by Virgil Ross in the lower right corner. Drawings like this were offered at personal appearances by Mr. Ross as he promoted his line of Limited Edition cels. The piece shows minor handling; otherwise condition is Very Good.
