Virgil Ross - Bugs Bunny Illustration (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). Bugs Bunny looks quite dapper in his tux, in this lively sketch by legendary animator Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996). Mr. Ross is considered one of the creators of Bugs; he worked on the first "true" appearance of the character in 1940's A Wild Hare. He was the recipient of the Motion Picture Screen Cartoonists Golden Award in 1984, and the Winsor McCay Award in 1988. This drawing, done by Mr. Ross in blue pencil and graphite, has an image size of 9.5" on a sheet of 12 field animation paper. Signed by Virgil Ross in the lower right corner. Fine condition.
