    Description

Virgil Ross - Bugs Bunny and Tasmanian Devils Drawing (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). "I now pronounce you Devil and Devilish" declares Reverend Bugs in this scene inspired by the theatrical short Devil May Hare, directed by Robert McKimson in 1954. This is an original drawing by longtime Warner Brothers animator, Virgil Ross. Mr. Ross was known for his action and dance sequences, as well as his funny facial expressions. Several of the cartoons he worked on were nominated for Academy Awards, and he was given the prestigious Winsor McCay Award in 1988. He spent time at several other studios, most notably Hanna-Barbera and Filmation. Mr. Ross began releasing hand-painted limited edition cels of his famous Looney Tunes scenes as a way of promoting his "Master's Collection" cels sold at Warner Bros. Studio Stores and animation galleries. This signed piece is drawn on 12 field animation paper, with an overall image area of 11" x 7.5". Condition is Very Good, with minor handling wear.
