Virgil Ross Baseball Bugs Model Sheet Original Art (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). Virgil Ross worked as an animator for Warner Brothers for 30 years. He started in Tex Avery's Unit, then Bob Clampett, and then for years as part of the Friz Freleng Unit. He also worked for Marvel, Filmation, and Hanna-Barbera Studios late in his career. He came out with his own line of hand-painted limited editions in the 1990s under his signature, and began a second career in the early '90s touring Warner Brothers Studio Stores and Animation Art Galleries. This is an original 16 field "Model Sheet" drawing by Virgil Ross that was inspired by the 1946 Bugs Bunny cartoon Baseball Bugs (which he worked on). Art is in graphite over blue pencil on 16 field animation paper. There are five images of Bugs in uniform, measuring 5" - 6" on this 16.5" x 13.5" animation sheet. The artwork is hand-signed by Mr. Ross (1907 -1996). Minor handling wear. Fine condition.
