Valley of the Dinosaurs Stock Background (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1974). Reusing animation is nothing new for Hollywood's animation studios. Presented is a hand-painted stock background from the Hanna-Barbera series, Valley of the Dinosaurs, the animated adventure series created for CBS. Stock backgrounds are used multiple times in a series where the characters stay in their same environment. This gorgeous stock background was hand-painted on 12 field size background board by acclaimed background painter (and voice-over artist), Paul Julian (1914 – 1995). While working at Warner Brothers as a background artist, Julian provided the Road Runner's "Beep-Beep!" sound. A sound he made while walking around the studio to get people to move out of his way. A sound editor recorded Julian's noises and sounds ultimately using them for the Road Runner, which are still used in modern Looney Tunes cartoons. This striking background is noted as, 78 STK BG 505. Mild handling wear from normal production use. Condition is Very Good.
