DescriptionTugboat Mickey Goofy Animation Drawing and Painted Production Background (Walt Disney, 1940). "Hey Goofy, low steam," says Donald Duck. "Garwsh... steam's low!" replies Goofy, in this Mickey, Donald, and Goofy theatrical short. This is a great lot that has an original 12 field 5-peghole animation drawing of Goofy when he is shoveling steam into the boiler. The lot also has a rare 16.5" x 9.5" trimmed, hand-painted production background of the boiler room on the ship. Both of these pieces can be seen around the 3:07 mark. The graphite drawing is a superb image, measuring 7". The background is stamped on the reverse with a Disney Studio stamp with production and scene numbers. The background alone is a magnificent piece of artwork. Very rare to have a matched set of drawings to background. This short was directed by Clyde Geronimi and released on 4/26/40. Minor handling and edge wear; Very Good overall condition.
