DescriptionTrader Mickey Mickey Mouse and Native Chief Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1932). Trader Mickey avoids becoming a meal for hungry cannibals with the help of musical instruments, in this early short directed by Dave Hand, released to theaters on 8/20/32. This is an original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawing of Mickey and the native chief (wearing a corset from Mickey's merchandise as a crown); he has just swallowed a harmonica and Mickey is poking his belly to make it play. Art is in graphite, with image sizes of 2.5" and 3.75"; the number 50 is noted over a crossed-out 34 in the lower right corner. Fine condition with light handling wear.
