Description
Tony the Tiger and Tony Jr. Production Cel Scene (Quartet Films, c. 1980). Tony the Tiger joins son Tony Jr. to bring "the best to you each morning," in this original hand-inked, hand-painted production cel from an animated commercial for Kellogg's Frosted Rice. Tony, voiced for years by Thurl Ravenscroft, has been pitching for Kellogg's Frosted Flakes since 1952; in the 1970s, Tony was given a son, Tony Jr., who was the mascot for the short-lived Frosted Rice cereal. This cel has Tony and Tony Jr. sailing away; a gif of this scene can be found online. The combined image size is approximately 3.25" x 4.75"; the cel is matted with an opening of 10" x 8", and is framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 16.25" x 12,25". Cel condition is Very Good to Fine with light handling.Auction Info
