Tom Wood The Big Bad Wolf Good Housekeeping Original Art (Walt Disney, 1934). A year after the enormous success of the Silly Symphonies short The Three Little Pigs in 1933, Disney released this sequel The Big Bad Wolf. It was directed by Burt Gillett and featured the original characters plus the addition of Little Red Riding Hood. This is the original Tom Wood illustration done for the Good Housekeeping Magazine's Disney Page. It appeared one month after the film was released and was the second ever published. This exact image can be seen on page 17 in the book Walt Disney's Mickey and the Gang: Classic Stories in Verse-Vintage Magazine Art 1934 - 1944 and is one of the earliest original Good Housekeeping illustrations from Disney we have ever seen. It's in a fame of 29" x 33" with a matted area of 19" x 24". Condition is Very Good. Frame is sold as-is. This lot will have to ship from Dallas to the winning bidder.
