    Description

Toby Tortoise Returns Toby and Ambulance Driver Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1936). A great pair of original animation drawings of Toby Tortoise and an expectant ambulance driver from the Wilfred Jackson-directed sequel to The Tortoise and the Hare released one year earlier. Toby is an enormous half figure image with boxing gloves measuring approximately 7" x 7" and numbered 57 in the lower right. He can be seen at the 1:42 mark as he squares off in the ring with Max Hare. The ambulance driving rabbit is in full figure with whisk broom in hand, measures 7" x 5.5" and is numbered 33 in the lower right. He can be seen near the end of this Silly Symphony at the 5:37 mark. Both are rendered in graphite on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. They show tanning and light edge wear; otherwise, condition is Very Good.
