Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas Oogie Boogie and Santa Claus Storyboard Original Art Sequence of 4 (Touchstone/Walt Disney, 1993). "And if you aren't shakin' there's something very wrong, 'cause this may be the last time you hear the boogie song! Whoa, I'm the Oogie Boogie Man!" Created for the menacing and jazzy song-and-dance number "Oogie Boogie's Song", this is a wonderfully spooky sequence of four original storyboard drawings created for Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. Beginning at the 48:52 mark of the film, this scene was highly ambitious in terms of animation, and an instrumental break and a second verse was cut from the final film after being storyboarded due to its difficulty to animate. These wonderful drawings from the sequence however are alive and well in the film, featuring the singing bats and skeletons and Oogie Boogie's taunting dice. The drawings are rendered in ink and conte by artist Jorgen Klubien on 8" x 5.5" sheets of animation paper. They show minor handling, and the condition overall is Fine.
