    Description

Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas Jack Skellington Concept Art (Touchstone/Walt Disney, 1993). This is an outstanding piece of concept art in pastel on black board of Lock, Shock, and Barrel, ready to go on Christmas Eve. It is not known what this was created for, but it's likely style guide artwork for consumer products such as clothing designs, books, or calendars. The big green full moon in the background really completes this 6.75" x 12.25" original drawing. It is in a frame of 17.5" x 23". Minor edge wear and handling on the art. Overall condition Very Good. Frame is sold as-is.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
