Description
Tiger Trouble Pre-Production Background (Walt Disney, 1945). Here's a lovely original pre-production background created for the 1945 Goofy short Tiger Trouble. This Jack Kinney-directed cartoon depicts Goofy and his elephant Dolores as they attempt to catch a tiger. This background painting depicts a lush jungle, filled with tall trees and greenery. The piece is created with gouache and airbrush on 12" x 10" board. The background is marked as being created for Scene 48 of the short, and it has several studio stamps on its reverse, including an Art Props stamp, indicating that it may have been used by the Art Props department after its creation. There is an "OK" on the back of the painting from "LN," most likely Lance Nolley, the layout artist for the short. The background is in Good to Very Good condition, with some handling and edge wear, including age-related toning, some staining, and some pinholes and staple holes on the edges.Auction Info
