Thumbelina Production Cel Setup on Master Production Background (Don Bluth, 1994). Thumbelina runs away from her wedding to the greedy Mr. Mole and finds herself in his gold-filled lair in this original Key Master setup from one the last films to come out of Sullivan Bluth studios. Don Bluth brought this Hans Christian Anderson story to the big screen in 1994 and it starred Jodi Benson (the voice of Ariel in Disney's Little Mermaid) as the voice of Thumbelina. Presented is an original hand-painted production cel setup of the title character, Thumbelina who measures 3" x 4" in a 16 field multi-cel setup. The cel setup is over a hand-painted Key Master background from the film rendered in gouache on paper-board. This exact scene can be viewed around the 1:14:36 mark. It's a wonderful one-of-a-kind setup from a rare Don Bluth feature film. The piece is in a 23" x 18" frame under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 16" x 12". Minor handling and condition is Very Good. Frame is sold as-is.
