Description
The Worm Turns Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). In this unusual short, Mickey plays a "mad scientist" who concocts a "Courage Builder" formula he tries out on a housefly, giving the fly strength enough to defeat a hungry spider. Ben Sharpsteen directed, with animation by such powerhouse artists as Ham Luske and Woolie Reitherman; it was released on 1/2/37. This is an original 12 field 5-peghole animation drawing of Mickey with his formula syringe, done in graphite with nice red pencil highlights. Overall image size is approximately 4.25" x 3.5". The drawing is noted as 509 in the lower right corner. Condition is Very Good with minor handling and edge wear, with very light paper toning.More information about Walt Disney Studios - Fab Five.
