The Two Barbers Production Background Art Group of 2 (Terrytoons, 1944). Eddie Donnelly directed this Mighty Mouse short, all about Terrytown's double barber shop (a big one for men, and in the corner, a small one for mice, existing peacefully together). Here are two hand-painted 12 field 3-top peghole production backgrounds, both beautifully painted in gouache/watercolor with airbrushed highlights on skimmed illustration board. The first, noted as 17, shows the big shop interior, and can be seen in online viewings at the 2:35 mark. This is when the human barber lends a hand with the mice, but a mean cat pokes his head in the door. Nice detail; check out all those shaving cups on the wall! The second background is noted as 37, and shows a nice exterior view of both shops and a pastoral view of the countryside; find it at the 4:23 mark, as Mighty Mouse arrives to save the day. Condition is Very Good on these attractive paintings, with minor handling wear.
