The Thief and the CobblerZigzag Animation Drawings and Studio Holiday Poster Group of 9 (Richard Williams, 1997). Here are eight original 16 field drawings from an animated feature film that was decades in the making (begun in the 1960s). When it was finally released, it went through a number of title changes (The Princess and the Cobbler, Arabian Knight, The Recobbled Cut) and edits before finally coming out on home video under the original title. This was the final project for many animation greats, including Art Babbitt, Ken Harris, and Grim Natwick. These drawings are all of the film's villain, Grand Vizier Zigzag. Art is in blue and/or brown pencil (one with added graphite penciling), with superb large images. Also included is a folded Christmas card/poster from Richard Williams Animation, with an altered print of Soho Square in London; look closely, and you'll see a number of cartoon characters (Pink Panther, Superman) walking around. Poster measures 27" x 2.75", and is in Good condition with tack holes and the corners, plus fold creases. Overall condition on the art is Very Good, with minor handling wear.
