DescriptionThe Super Salesman Production Background Art (Terrytoons, 1947). "Now I'll tell you what I'm gonna do..." Despite a sign reading "No Peddlers Allowed," Heckle and Jeckle set up shop in a city park and sell hair-growth tonic (that really works), in this typically frantic short. Eddie Donnelly was the director; the short was released on 10/24/47. Here's a great original hand-painted 12 field background of a Civil War statue in the park, one that will soon grow hair when the magpies throw bottles of tonic at it. The cartoon is available online; you can find this scene at the 5:21 mark. The art is noted as 39 in the upper right; it's painted in watercolor/gouache, with airbrushed highlights. Condition is Very Good with minor handling and edge wear.
