    Description

The Simpsons "Some Enchanted Evening" Presentation Cel (Fox, 1990). This is an absolute one-off piece of Simpsons and television animation history. The episode "Some Enchanted Evening" was originally to be the very first episode of The Simpsons but the animation was so inconsistent that 75% of it had to be redone. The full story is detailed on the back of the frame. This presentation cel was given to June Foray (1917 - 2017), who provided the voice of the receptionist for the Rubber Baby Buggy Bumper Babysitting Service, to commemorate that she was "technically" the very first guest voice on The Simpsons. The art was created by Klasky/Csupo Studios background designer, Phil Ortiz and is from the personal collection of June Foray. On the back of the frame is a dedication to her with signatures of the cast and crew who worked on this episode. This piece is from the start of what has become the longest-running American scripted prime time television series ever. The cel is matted with a opening of 9.5" x 12", in a 15.5" x 18" glass-front frame. Condition is Fine. From the June Foray Collection.
