The Simpsons "Bart the Genius" First Season Production Cel (Fox, 1990). This lot is a bit of Simpsons history. This is an original hand-painted production cel of Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa behind a box of "Krusty Flakes" from the Season 1 episode, "Bart the Genius." This was the first proper episode of the season, airing on January 14, 1990, after the December 17, 1989 "Christmas Special" episode, "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire." This is where Bart hands in Nelson's Intelligence Test paper and is declared a "genius." It was the first episode to include Bart's catch phrase "eat my shorts." Great image of the family, with each member measuring about 4". The setup is placed over a printed background and framed with Plexiglas. The Fox seal is included, along with a COA attached to the back of the frame. Fine condition.
