The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show Rocky, Bullwinkle, Gidney, and Cloyd Signed Scene Cel (Jay Ward, 1989). Gidney and Cloyd, also known as The Moon Men, appeared in the very first Rocky and Friends episode "Jet Fuel Formula," way back in 1959. They were voiced by Bill Scott and Paul Frees and appeared in future episodes "Metal Munching Mice" and "Missouri Mish Mash." These hand-inked, hand-painted Scene Cels were sold unsigned at the Dudley Do-Right Emporium on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood (1971 - 2005). This one is signed by the voice of Rocky (The First Lady of Animation) June Foray (1917 - 2017); directors Gerard Baldwin and Bill Hurtz (1919 - 2000); writer Chris Jenkyns (1924 - 2001); and Jay Ward (1920 - 1989). It should be noted that most Scene Cels feature Bullwinkle painted in orange because, it is said, Jay Ward thought he looked better that way. This is a rare "Brown" Bullwinkle! It's a great combination of characters measuring approximately 8.25" x 7". The cel is matted with an opening size of 9.5" x 12", and an overall mat measuring 16" x 20". Five signatures on a Jay Ward Studio Scene Cel makes this a stand-out piece in any Rocky and Bullwinkle collection! Condition is Fine.
