    Description

The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show Peabody and Sherman Signed Scene Cel (Jay Ward, 1989). Mr. Peabody and Sherman were part of "Peabody's Improbable History" segment of The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. It premiered in 1959 with a Ben Franklin episode and ultimately ran 91 historically hysterical episodes! The duo starred in a feature movie in 2014, and a new cartoon series that premiered in 2015. This hand-inked, hand-painted 12 field Scene Cel of Peabody and Sherman in front of the WABAC Machine was sold at the Dudley Do-Right Emporium on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood (1971 - 2005). This one is signed by Rocky and Bullwinkle Show directors Gerard Baldwin and Bill Hurtz (1919 - 2000), as well as by Mr. Jay Ward (1920 - 1989). It should be noted this is a "Blonde" Sherman. In the show he sometimes had red hair and other times blonde. In the sponsor's cereal commercials he had blonde hair as well. The characters measure 4" and 5" tall. The cel is matted with a opening size of 9.5" x 12" with an overall mat size of 16" x 20". Condition is Fine.
