The Rescuers Penny Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1977).
The Rescuers was the 23rd animated feature film from the Walt Disney Studios. Directed by Wolfgang Reitherman, the film is about the Rescue Aid Society, an international mouse organization headquartered in New York City and dedicated to helping abduction victims around the world. Meanwhile, in an abandoned river boat in Devils Bayou, a young orphan named Penny drops a message in a bottle, containing a plea for help into the river. The bottle washes up in New York City, where it is found by the Rescue Aid Society. From The Rescuers we have a hand-painted production cel featuring Penny. The cel is 16 field acetate and was laminated by the Walt Disney Studios. The piece is in a 21" x 17.5" frame with an opening of 14" x 10.5". The frame is sold as-is. The lamination on the cel is failing which has effected the paint; otherwise, the artwork is in Fair condition.
