The Rescuers Madame Medusa and Penny Production Cels and Master Production Backgrounds Setups Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1977). Talk about a terrific two-fer! This framed item contains two tense and fantastic hand-painted productions cels and each one is on its own hand-painted Master production background! The top one features Madame Medusa looking down into the well with the rope hanging over the lower edge. The villainous Medusa was brilliantly animated by Milt Kahl. She measures 5" x 4" in the frame. Below that is a cel of Penny in the bucket, holding onto the rope. She and the bucket measure 6" long. The creative mating is a double vertical aperture to stack them so that Medusa is looking "down the well" at Penny. In a creative mating bonus, there is a smaller opening that has a real piece of knotted rope in it. One of the most unique Rescuers pieces we have ever come across and perfectly captures this very tense and dangerous scene. In Fine condition.
