The Ren and Stimpy Show Production Cel on Key Master Background (Nickelodeon, 1994). "Stimpy, what's wrong with you!? Why do you make me so angry!?" From the season three episode "Jiminy Lummox", Ren's conscience is tested. This moment can be seen at approximately the 7:19 mark of the story. The Ren and Stimpy Show was one of Nickelodeon's first original animated series or "Nicktoons", alongside Rugrats and Doug. In contrast with the other shows on the network, the series had a reputation for a controversial, dark, and even shocking sense of humor. Unprecedented in animated programming presented to children, the show received positive reviews and has since developed a significant cult following. This is an incredible and characteristically perfect hand-painted original production cel featuring the title characters Ren and Stimpy. The 12 field cels are presented over a hand-painted Key Master pan background rendered in gouache on 17" x 10.5" background board. The piece shows minor handling and edge wear, contains an official Nickelodeon seal, and the condition is Very Good.
