The Mad Doctor "Mickey in Peril" Limited Edition Cel #10/23 (Walt Disney, 2009). Walt Disney Studios Art Program created a series of very limited edition, hand-painted cels, using archival drawings housed at their Animation Research Library. It was called "The Golden Age of Animation" series. Here is "Mad Doctor -- Mickey in Peril" in an edition size of only 23 pieces; this is the very low #10. It was created from Scene 45 in the classic Mickey Mouse short. Mickey is 3" tall in this great black and white cel image. The original short was directed by David Hand, with animation by Art Babbitt. It was released on 1/21/33. This was a Mickey and Pluto short and introduced the mad scientist, Doctor XXX. The cel is matted with an opening of 12" x 10" and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 22" x 19". A Disney seal is on the cel, and a photocopy Disney COA is on back of the frame. Frame is sold as-is. Cel is in Fine condition.
