The Little Mermaid Ariel Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1989). Ariel marvels at her new human legs in this key scene from Disney's hit animated feature The Little Mermaid. This nearly full-figure image of the title character can be seen at the 46:16 mark of the Disney film known to collectors as the last to use painted production cels. The image on this original hand-painted 12 field 2-cel setup measures approximately 5.5" x 6.5". Ariel is on one cel and a second effects cel featuring tiny water droplets is over it. The setup is presented on a matching print background for presentation purposes, bears a Disney seal in the lower right corner and comes with a studio issued Certificate of Authenticity. Cels from this pivotal scene are very rare and highly sought-after by collectors. It is in a mat of 18" x 14" with an opening of 12" x 8.5". Condition is fine.
