The Little Mermaid Ariel "Part of That World" Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1989). "Wouldn't you think I'm the girl... the girl who has everything?" This exquisite hand-painted and partly hand-inked 16 field animation cel painting of Ariel, the film's title character, was created in the Disney Ink & Paint Department and photographed during the making of Walt Disney's animated feature film. This first-rate original appears in the film as Ariel sings the opening lines of "Part of That World" in her undersea treasure room. Glen Keane, one of Disney's elite animators of the past 40 years, supervised the animation of Ariel throughout the film and in this scene. A Studio label at bottom center identifies this cel's place in the film -- "Sq. 2.1 Sc. 22" -- and handwritten designation "A-69" at lower right marks its place in the scene. This original was at one time gifted to one of its Feature Animation crew, and "The Walt Disney Company" seal appears on the cel to the right of the image. Ariel's image size is 8.25" x 9". Cel condition is Fine.
