The Little Mermaid Ariel and Prince Eric Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1989). There has been much talk recently about live-action remakes (both as a new movie and a TV special) of Disney's The Little Mermaid, but for children of the 1980s and '90s, this animated classic will forever remain the definitive version. For fans of the beloved film, here's a great original hand-painted production cel of Ariel and her true love Prince Eric, with nice large figure sizes of 5.5" and 7". This was the last Disney feature to use traditional hand-painted cels; beginning with the next production (1990's The Rescuers Down Under), all animation has been done digitally. The cel includes a Disney seal in the lower right corner, and has been placed on a print background. Matted with an opening of 15" x 10", and framed with glass for an overall size of 22" x 17.25". Frame is sold as-is. Cel condition is Fine. From the MacLaughlin Family Disney Collection.
