Description
The Lion King Special Limited Edition Cel (Walt Disney, 1994). Only Walt Disney employees were offered hand-painted cels from the mega-hit feature, The Lion King, which was animated digitally. The Disney Ink and Paint Department created only a few hand-painted cels for those who worked on the film. This is #159 of less than 200 copies of this magnificent scene featuring Simba and Nala created for this purpose, using a printed background. The cel has a gold Walt Disney Feature Animation seal in the lower left corner, and is numbered in the lower right. The image is huge, with the characters measuring approximately 10" x 14"; the cel is double-matted and framed with glass for an overall size of 23.5" x 18.75". In Excellent condition; however, the original Disney Certificate of Authenticity once attached to the reverse of the frame is now missing.Auction Info
