The Jungle Book Baloo and Mowgli Production Cel Setup (Walt Disney, 1967). "Now it's like this little britches, all you gotta do... is look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities, forgot about your worries and strife!" This song sequence for the "Bare Necessities" number was the film's highlight, with Phil Harris and Bruce Reitherman singing the parts for Baloo and Mowgli. This catchy tune went on to be nominated for Best Song at the Academy Awards. Here is an original hand-painted production 2-cel setup of Mowgli relaxing on Baloo's belly as they float down stream, from this major sequence. It comes up at the 3:15 mark into the song, when Baloo goes "Let me tell you something little britches, if you act like that bee, ah ah, you're working too hard!" This is an original Disneyland Art Corner setup, placed on a print background for presentation purposes. This is one of the single most well-known scenes in the history of Disney Feature animation. Great large image, with figure sizes of 5" and 9". The setup is matted, with an opening of 11" x 9" and overall size of 17" x 15". You can practically hear Baloo and Mowgli singing by simply looking at this magnificent piece! Very Good condition.
