The Iron Giant Concept Art Group of 2 (Warner Brothers, 1999). I gotta go, or mom will have a cow." says Hogarth to the Iron Giant, who replies replies "Mumm?, koww?" This is the dialogue to this scene and it's written along the top border of this pair of matching concept pieces. They are by the late Victor Haboush (1924 - 2009) who was a longtime veteran in the animation industry with ties to many studios. He served as both Art Director and Character Designer on this film in 1997. One of his methods was to make prints of sketches and then paint over them with various types of gouache to test out colors for a scene. These are two matching 8.5" x 11" prints that he has painted with different color palettes. Concept art for this film is nearly impossible to find. Minor handling and edge wear; otherwise, condition is Very Good. From the Vic Haboush Archives.
