DescriptionThe Incredible Mr. Limpet Production Cel (Warner Brothers, 1964). "I wish, I wish I was a fish." Man turned fish Henry Limpet (played by Don Knotts) swims with his new navigator Crusty the crab from the Disney classic film The Incredible Mr. Limpet. Telling the bizarre and comedic story of a man who turns into a fish and helps the US navy fight off German U-Boats, this unusual tale was a critical success during its release. This hand-inked and hand-painted production cel featuring Don Knotts as a fish can be seen at the 31:24 mark of the film. Notably, legendary animator Robert McKimson was a primary animation director for this film, along with Hawley Pratt, Bill Tytla, and Gerry Chiniquy. This wonderful cel is framed under Plexiglas with a mat window size of 8.25" x 6.5" and an overall frame size of approximately 15.75" x 14.5". The cel shows minor handling wear and is displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes. The condition is Very Good. The frame is sold as is.
